The palmetto tree, the most popular of all the ornaments to take home from a visit to the state; occupies a big ecological niche . Tall Ship momento. An annual event in the port of Charleston. These Tall Ships are worth the trip down town!  Raibow Row, one of the most recognized features in the city! Morris Island light, off Folly Beach and the teardrop with sailboat, another common site all around the local waters. The egrets, both plain and fancy,are a fixture of the Lowcountry marshes.
